Nomination, Slate, Election, and Installation
Annually, 3 elders and 3 deacons shall be installed to serve on the Church Board for a three-year term; they shall not be eligible for re-election or election to a church board office for at least three years following their term. A total of nine elders and nine deacons shall serve each year.

- Annually in March and April, a slate of 6 elders and 6 deacons shall be nominated.
- Nomination Process: A list of eligible members is provided to the congregation. Congregation members use that list to nominate up to 3 candidates for elder and three for deacon. The members who receive the most nominations are added to the slate.
- 3 of the individuals from that slate of 6 candidates for elder shall be elected by lot to serve as elders.
- 3 of the individuals from that slate of 6 candidates for deacon shall be elected by lot to serve as deacons.
- The election by lot process: For elders, 3 Bibles will include a sheet of paper in one color (example: blue). 3 Bibles will include a sheet of paper in a second color (example: yellow). The paper will have a Bible verse typed on it. During the meeting, the Pastor will ask someone from the congregation to write one of the two colors on a piece of paper (example: blue or yellow). The six candidates will each select a Bible from the pile at random. After the candidates have opened their Bible and see the color, the person who wrote a color will share what was written. The candidates who have the paper that matches the selected written color are the ones who will become part of Consistory. The same process is repeated for deacons.
- The installation of elders and deacons shall be held yearly so the new offices will be effective from May through April.
